Profit Optimizer uses existing dynamic models from Profit Controller applications as well as novel (patented) models that define the inter-unit relationships to enable a true dynamic, real-time multi-unit or plant-wide optimization. The resulting global optimization targets are then passed in a collaborative fashion to the underlying Profit Controller applications where they are implemented.
Instead of relying on steady-state, first principles-based modeling systems, Profit Optimizer relies on measured process relationships and fully leverages dynamic process information that resides in the underlying Profit Controller applications. Using this approach, Profit Optimizer is able to deliver the same (or superior) economic benefits of traditional RTO with a dramatic reduction of engineering effort.
