With support for Fisher PROVOX systems expected to be phased out soon, Honeywell’s migration solution services for Fisher PROVOX systems can help users move to Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS) seamlessly, and enjoy proven support services.

Honeywell’s migration solution for Fisher PROVOX systems enables users to make a low-risk transition to Experion PKS. Benefits of the transition include:

  • 30 percent reduction in maintenance costs
  • 1-4 percent increase in production due to process optimization
  • Up to 40 percent reduction in batch cycle times
  • 40 percent reduction in operator-related incidents
  • 98 percent on-time and on-budget project completion
  • Up to 50 percent reduction in alarms using operator performance tools

Users can choose the pace at which they migrate their aging systems to Experion based on their business requirements.

Under multi-phase migration, the Web-enabled Experion stations substitute the proprietary PROVOX Emerson consoles, and the Experion user interface allows the PROVOX function block configurations to be read and displayed via detailed displays and faceplates that appear similar to that originating from Experion controller function blocks. PROVOX data can, therefore, be accessed from any Experion user interface with minimum configuration.

As part of full system migration to Experion, the PROVOX controllers are replaced with the Experion C300 controllers. Once the Experion controllers are configured and installed, the cutover from PROVOX Emerson system to the Experion system can be accomplished at users’ own pace.

In order to determine the most efficient and cost-effective migration strategy, Honeywell offers a system assessment of each user’s specific requirements.

Experion PKS unifies business, people, process and assets to improve business agility. By migrating to Experion, Fisher PROVOX users also benefit from up to 50 percent better return on investments over alternative offerings with Honeywell’s lifecycle approach.
