Honeywell’s Site Support Specialists and Field Service Engineers are highly trained and certified technicians who help users maintain peak operating performance and maximize the ongoing value of their control systems, measurement and control devices, field measurement instruments and installed solutions. ​

The Site Support Specialists and Field Service Engineers are highly skilled, factory-trained general service specialists with specific training matched to a user’s unique hardware, software, networking and advanced solutions needs. The Site Support Specialists and Field Service Engineers are equipped with the added training and skills to meet the day-to-day requirements (system management, upgrades, optimization and general support, measurement and control) of the site. Honeywell’s site support capabilities include:

  • Software maintenance, software enhancement, and performance management services
  • Hardware maintenance, asset management, and modernization programs
  • Network monitoring, management and resident support
  • Compliance management and services application support services

The Site Support Specialist and Field Service Engineer can be one or more full-time resources assigned to one site, or a single resource shared amongst many sites depending on the location, availability and need.  

Depending on the scope of coverage agreed to, one or more Site Support Specialist and Field Service Engineer either provide full-time on-site coverage, including coverage for vacation and personal training, or covers the site for a limited number of weeks per month or year. After determining the user requirements, specialists with the necessary skills are assigned and provided with further site-specific training to ensure user requirements are adequately addressed. During vacation and training, backup specialists provide full time support. The Site Support Specialists and Field Service Engineers are the first line of support for users and provide an interface to other Honeywell support functions such as Technical Assistance Centers (TAC).

The Site Support Specialists and Field Service Engineers utilize Honeywell internal processes and support infrastructure to provide continuity, advanced troubleshooting and analysis.    

With rapid changes in technology, retiring staff and difficulty in attracting and retaining skilled technical resources, the cost to provide technical support is increasing. Honeywell’s Site Support Specialists and Field Service Engineers provide a cost-effective way to circumvent these problems, enabling reduction in labor costs, overtime hours and productivity losses.​
