Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) asset managers need a sturdy Information System to be able to balance their daily production requirements with the present and future production process flows. This is a complex, expensive and time consuming logistic trail required for the LNG to reach its destination or take advantage of spot markets.

This logistic trail with vessel movements requires the best in scheduling, beginning with the production schedule. The production schedule is a balance between gas feeds, process changes, equipment maintenance needs and vessel send out.

With Honeywell’s Manufacturing Execution Systems, LNG asset managers and facility planners have access to comprehensive performance data in real-time to assess and capitalize on opportunities faster and more intelligently.

Honeywell’s Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) product portfolio manages production information, including the status of LNG production trains, detailed unit operations, FEED inventory, Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) and LNG movement quantities, and conversion factors.

By capturing production plans and schedules, communicating approved activities to operators, and enabling efficient capture and validation of actual production information with information systems like MES, asset managers can improve the collaboration between supply chain planning, production planning and asset operations.

Honeywell offers flexible and comprehensive service programs to optimize performance and efficiency in all phases of the automation lifecycle. The organization aligns service strategy with business strategy. Honeywell developed a modular service framework tailored to support the unique needs of any plant and help achieve its long-term objectives.

The company’s services typically help operations managers to:

  • Maintain and execute day to day tasks

  • Support systems and assets with access to Honeywell technical resources, hardware and software upgrades

  • Optimize the performance, capacity and availability of applications

  • Change applications to adapt to technology and process changes, as well as shifts in business conditions

  • Determine the pace and extent to which new software releases need to be adopted
