​Honeywell’s reliability solutions improve availability and reduce downtime through proactive asset management and early detection of potential problems ranging from corrosion to equipment failure.

Maintaining process and equipment availability is necessary to achieve daily production targets. Production managers and operators need to be able to recognize how hard to push the production trains and wells without risking the integrity of the reservoir, well heads, processing trains and key pieces of equipment and to be able to accurately plan for well work-overs and equipment turnarounds as they become necessary. This requires a tight connection between process data and equipment health monitoring so boundary limits are recognized even though operating modes and equipment demands are constantly changing.

    • Field Device Manager -- Honeywell Field Device Manager (FDM) simplifies maintenance tasks, saves time and provides the flexibility and scalability to perform complete device configuration and management tasks in the plant environment through smart plant instrumentation.

​Honeywell’s services help increase asset reliability via a broad portfolio of services ranging from corrosion consulting and loop attainment to alarm rationalization and management.

Each of these services is geared to tailor the solution to users’ operating processes, beginning with a site review to gather information on process variables and operating procedures. Combining process information with operating modes helps identify best in class practices and test against the process results. Often test and results are tested in Honeywell’s Operator Training Simulator, then incorporated into the process and training simulation to train future operators.

These services require tight involvement in the field working closely with operations and engineering.  Engineering is providing design information and boundaries while operations perform the day to day steps used to attain the production targets.  Not only are the processes simplified with increase in reliability, but experience and best in class routines are captured and guidance for abnormal situations used, increasing reliability and significantly reducing risk.
